Buffelh was started by Ruan Roodt just before COVID-19. With very little capital, he ordered 25 boxes to test the market.

At the time, Ruan worked in the mining industry. Every day he shared a ride to work with an older gentleman.

One morning Ruan told him about the idea. The old man listened, smiled, and prayed for it right there in the bakkie.

He has since passed away. His blessing lives on in every box.
